some of the issues are:

I don’t want to look down to where my hands naturally rest.
I don’t want to stretch my arms out to where my eyes naturally look.
I don’t want to feel nothing in response to touch.

Until these three issues are resolved, a touchscreen cannot replace the traditional computer. Microsoft seems insistent on trying to make this happen; the technology is just not there yet.
